My Students

My students are a great group of young men and women who strive to learn every time that they are in class. My students are studying the stock market this year and trying to learn how to invest, and how to invest in themselves.

This will be many of my students' first interaction with Economics and I hope that a positive experience in my class will set a firm foundation for my students to build on.

My students are in a rural area with a high poverty rate. They use their school as a means to better themselves and relish the opportunities to learn and improve. I hope that their education, especially the learning that occurs in my classroom, will strengthen them personally and help them professionally.

My Project

Students will have the opportunity to use class time to stimulate thinking skills and interpersonal relationships. I am trying to give my students an opportunity to participate in many different groups, using many different strategies, to accomplish many different goals.

Students want the opportunity to learn while having fun, and these games would be a perfect way to accomplish this.

Students will have a choice of several different games over the course of 3 class periods a week. These students will be able to show strengths in games or strategies that they are good at, but also be able to observe other students with different skills in other games all while participating and learning in those same games.
