My Project

At my school, we have a wonderful library that students visit throughout the day, before school, during lunch, and after school. In my experience, I found that introducing board games to our students got them off of their phones, away from their screens (laptops) & interacting with one another!

Students in the past have opened up that never used to talk to others, or even struggled to come to school!

They genuinely have FUN! We want to expand this awesomeness so that more students can benefit. Our goal is to start a board game closet where students can check out items. We hope to expand and promote this through a board game club.

This will help our school community having dealt with so much instability and additional challenges as lingering effects of COVID-19.

Any real-life interactions are invaluable and these positive experiences are truly contagious and inspiring! They are natural life lessons in learning rules, strategy, cooperation, competition, and problem-solving.
