My Project

I’m hoping to get my young children interested in math. I want to challenge those students who relish a good math problem. I’m looking to teach math concepts in a fun, low-stress way, not using worksheets.

What better way than to use games!

When frustrated student are struggling with math facts, board games are a fun way to help them learn their facts in a nonthreatening, systematic way. While a multiplication chart and flash cards can be effective at teaching math, they can retain more through classroom games. The games will keep motivation and engagement high by solving different types of equations for a fun and common goal. Board games focus on creativity as well as education, which will help them retain knowledge better than math flash cards.

My goal is to get learners of all abilities excited about math with a focus on cooperative play to build confidence.
