Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students know how to play video games. But, most of my students do not know how to play classic board games. I would like to give my students an opportunity to learn how to play 50 classic board games.

The lack of technology required to play board games makes them special.

Playing board games is a simple way for children to get quality, screen-free time with friends.

There are several benefits of playing board games.

Board games build communication skills. Board games can help children with special needs. Board games teach children how to follow instructions. Board games help children learn to fail. Board games create healthy competition. Board games help children understand how others think. These are just a few benefits of playing board games. I would like to give my students an opportunity to strengthen these skills and enjoy learning at the same time with Jenga, Connect 4 and Trouble.
