Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are primarily English language learners and need support in developing oral language skills. They are wonderful full of ideas and aspirations.

Aside of explicitly teaching English as a second language, development of conversation skills is crucial.

Winter months are approaching ahead, and recess will be indoors. In order to keep them engaged and learning continuously they've requested access to hands on games.

I will host students during select recess days and utilize materials to support positive reinforcement. The goal of this project is to improve peer-to peer conversations and sportsmanship. Included in this project are storage materials to hold the games and light snacks for the kids.
