My Students

"Don't worry about your difficulties in math, I can assure you that mine are far greater." -Albert Einstein. This relates to my project because by the end of the year I want my students feel successful in math.

My students have a wide range of academic needs in Math.

Some are significantly below grade level and others are advanced. We need to provide on-line math practice for challenge and remediation purposes. This practice will help meet the needs of my diverse learners.

My Project

My students come form a variety of backgrounds. At our school, we have changed our focus to become more rigorous. Such rigor will help our students achieve the academics necessary to be successful on the SBAC assessment. My second graders will begin taking this assessment in third grade. My students need to practice using technology for assessments. Currently, the majority of our practice and assessments are paper/pencil. We need a one year IXL Classroom subscription to meet their varying academic levels in Mathematics, as well as Language Arts. IXL Math and Language would enable my students to practice and assess both at school and at home.

Donations to this project will improve the learning in my classroom.

The ritualistic style of mundane teaching will no longer be a force in my class. IXL Math and Language will broaden my students' assessment modalities.
