My Project

Many of my students come from low-income households, and our small public charter school, with only 160 students, provides them with a safe, supportive learning environment where they can thrive. For many of them, prom isn’t just a dance—it’s a rare opportunity to step away from life’s challenges and experience a night of joy, celebration, and belonging. Prom is a rite of passage, a moment they have looked forward to throughout high school, and I want to make it as special as they are.

Our theme, Cherry Blossom Elegance, symbolizes growth, beauty, and new beginnings—just like my students, who have worked so hard to get to this milestone.

The decorations I am requesting, including cherry blossom arrangements, an arch, vases, fans, and crowns for the prom king and queen, will help transform our space into something truly magical. These students deserve a night where they feel celebrated and cherished, a night where they can simply be teenagers enjoying a tradition that should be accessible to all, regardless of financial barriers. With your support, we can give them an unforgettable evening filled with beauty, elegance, and memories that will last a lifetime.
