My Project
One of the favorite areas in our classroom is the block area including the dollhouses. Many of my preschoolers frequent this in my classroom when given choice time. These areas included the blocks, a dollhouse, and a road with cars. They all work together in this area. However, the toys they use have been well loved and are becoming discolored and scratched from playing as well as from extra cleaning methods due to COVID. Still, they loved to play in these areas together, solving problems together and giving small glimpses into their home life and culture.
I am asking for block area people to better represent the students in my classroom and their culture.
I look forward to providing more of my students the opportunity to play with toys that look like them.
