My Students

My extra-curricular basketball sports team has allowed my students to remain active and create healthy lifestyle choices. This team is an all-boys team that provides them with resources, including educational packets on a healthy lifestyle, hygienic changes, and much more. They enjoy getting the information and learning as we also enjoy the game.

My Project

My classroom is the second home for over 260 amazing individuals! My scholars enjoy coming into my classroom within the week. During those times, it is a privilege to interact with these 260 different personalities. They are able to let their true selves come out each and every day!

My scholars all come from different challenging circumstances including being homeless, displaced, and abused.

While being exposed to those challenges and having to deal with COVID 19, it sometimes gets difficult for them to cope.

These students rely on me to make our blended learning time comforting, safe, and inviting place where they can continue to learn and thrive. Providing them with the tools such as food, drinks, and equipment can help create a more comfortable space.

I've requested snacks that will be accessible to my students throughout the day. Most of my students are picky and do not eat school lunch throughout the day. Because I am in a self-contained class, I am requesting these drinks and snacks to give to them when they express the need for something to fill their bellies with.

Many of my students are also in homeless shelters or displaced throughout the school year. This gives them an opportunity to have snacks and drinks that they can also bring home with them. Please help me to provide them with this basic need that many of us take for granted.
