Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Our students are economically and ethnically diverse. Our population consists of mostly Hispanic and Chinese backgrounds. We have a population of students from shelters as well as the surrounding projects.

The school includes students with special needs as well as ESL students in need of extra support.

As a community, we strive to keep a safe and secure environment for all our students from Pre-k through 5th grade. Thank you!

My Project

During these unprecedented times students and teachers are asked to approach education in ways we have never taught or learned before. In order to do this effectively we need your help. Our students require hands on materials to be successful both in school and at home. Math manipulatives will help them in this way. In addition, students work best when organized! Our students who will be attending school need help staying organized while staying safe. Individual colored bins will help them keep their materials separate from their friends materials in order to learn.
