Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I-funded school in a poverty-stricken​ community.

Our school consists of a very large English language learner population.

All of our students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it. These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.

My Project

I can see it now: the fresh stack of new science workbooks. They have great content, but only take learning in a two dimensional way. This is why with the materials listed below, we can take our our learning from 2D to 3D!

Textbooks are great, but calculating, creating, and exploring is how my scientists learn best in our classroom!

Using the materials below my scientists will be able do many things like; create earth's structures using play-doh, mix chemical changes using rockets, calculate the force in motion using motorized airplanes, and observe changes in matter using slime!
