Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our first-grade classroom is ready to take off on an unforgettable journey through space! After weeks of learning about planets, stars, rockets, and astronauts, we want to create a spectacular culminating experience that brings our Space Exploration unit to life. With your support, we'll transform our room into a glowing galaxy where students can imagine themselves as astronauts, exploring the mysteries of the universe up close. This immersive experience will give my students a hands-on way to apply what they've learned, making STEM learning magical and meaningful.

Imagine their excitement as they walk into a classroom decorated with warm white LED spaceship and rocket lights, tables covered in starry night tablecloths, and a galaxy of glow-in-the-dark decor surrounding them.

They'll wear astronaut costumes, explore the universe with a star projector, and write about their "space adventures" in an environment that feels genuinely out of this world!

This project is an engaging, hands-on learning experience that reinforces STEM concepts. Students will reflect on and share their knowledge about the solar system, engineering, and space exploration, developing their science and writing skills. Our space transformation will help my young learners make connections between their studies and real-world applications, all while having fun and sparking their imaginations.

Your support will make this one-of-a-kind experience possible, turning our classroom into an inspiring space for young explorers. This transformation will bring learning to life, leaving students with wonder and accomplishment.
