My Project

February is Black History Month. At this school, we celebrate all month with Black history presentations in classrooms for all grades, bulletin boards, and school-wide assemblies. Our students need to know that Black history is American history, and many topics have not been taught to our students. Students benefit from learning about all the many contributions made Black Americans for this country. When our students learn about the contributions made by Black Americans, it instills a sense of pride and understanding of their ancestry. Seeking funding for a school-wide Black History contest. Everyday a quote from a notable Black American is posted. Funding is needed for prizes for all entries and the winners of the contest.
