My Project

Black History Month is SO important to celebrate and teach to our preschoolers! This collection of materials will help to do so. Not only will these materials be highlighted by a week of learning black history, they will be used year-round to teacher diversity, equity and inclusion in my classroom, as well as loaned to other classrooms throughout the building.

We want ALL of our students to be represented throughout our classroom daily.

These books will allow our black students to be represented, as well as aiding in teaching our other students about black history and culture. We want our bookshelves as well as our toys to be "mirrors" as well as "windows". It is so important to see people that look like us, as well as learn about others.
