My Project

The majority of my students are children of color, and they deserve to read books about people who look like them. It is important to me that my students read about the amazing work that people like Ida B. Wells and Booker T. Washington did to help better the world.

These books will be used for small book clubs where students will be grouped together based on interest.

Students will read the book together while filling out a graphic organizer so that they can track information like dates, important accomplishments, and interesting facts along the way. Then they will prepare a book report that will help other students in the class learn about Black world changers.
