Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Becoming a teacher is wild! Little did I know I'd need miscellaneous things like Clorox wipes, utility shelves, wikki stix, small storage tables, a drying rack, small treasures for individualized supports, a projector screen, watercolor palettes (& watercolor paper), beads, fish tank filters, and play dough. Oh my!

Teaching requires more than paper and pencils; to truly invest early childhood students in their learning, I need miscellaneous items to make the classroom functional, cozy, and fun.

Clorox wipes and other cleaning items will help me keep my students healthy. The utility shelf will help me organize lunch boxes and water bottles. The projector screen will be an upgrade to my ever-present white shower curtain. The beads will help my students calm down when big feelings erupt. And finally, the fish filters will keep our beloved class pet (Chicken Nugget or Nuggs for short) healthy!

With your support, I will be able to procure the random (but very useful) items that I need to make our classroom accessible in ways that are age-appropriate, fun, and keep our space organized.
