My Students

Students enter my classroom each day knowing that they are the future of the world and it is their learning that will make them the leaders of tomorrow. My classroom is set up with 3D printers and other STEAM tools so that a hands-on, learning experience is incorporated into each class. By the end of the year, I want my students to be at the forefront of STEM education because junior engineers and scientists will be leading the way for the future.

Each student is unique in their own way, which makes learning that much more special.

My students love learning about the ever-changing world of science and are captured by the fact that every day brings new discoveries in science. The school is a welcoming environment that encourages higher-level learning while supporting the students at every step. The school houses over fourteen hundred, middle school students, who come from different ethnic backgrounds. In order to strengthen their learning experience, I want my students to utilize all the possible resources I can provide for them.

My Project

After these past two year of changes and stressors that resulted from the pandemic, students are coming back to school in a new way. Something as simple as a birthday bracelet and a science sticker can go a long way. Acknowledging that student on their special day goes a long way. It's not just the educational part that matters, the social emotional part of this year is equally as important.

Every child deserves to feel special, especially on their birthday.

With the bracelets and prizes, students will be able to celebrate their birthday even through social distancing in our classrooms. Allowing them to feel loved and cared for is the least we can do during these tough times.
