Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to learn about animals. One of our long-term project-based learning units is all about birds. First, we learn about their amazing bodies and then we learn about why people need birds and how people can care for birds. The requested materials will help students extend their learning and learn through play.

Bird plushes with authentic bird sounds , bird costumes, bird house kits, tree blocks, and bird feeder kits will help students to bring the learning to life.

Students will be able to retell bird stories, create their own bird habitats, and observe real-life birds from our classroom window. Students will also be able to build bird feeders and birdhouses to place in our school garden.
