My Project

Nature is a magical thing, but when disaster has been through your town it's hard to see nature as a calming, joyful thing. With the tornados that struck and destroyed homes and scared students, we need an opportunity to allow for nature to become a space we can appreciate and enjoy again. This project would create a space for students to sit back, relax, and learn all while taking in the nature around them. It would take our science learning to a new level with the ability to watch and study birds from our classroom and the courtyard steps away from our classroom door! Not only would we be able to learn and enjoy nature, but we would also be able to incorporate sensory needs into our experience with the swings. Our students with special needs can sit on a swing specifically designed for sensory needs all while watching and studying birds outside. This would create a truly magical bird watching, sensory experience!
