My Project

MHV is a school dedicated to offering students the best education possible, this means that students are often exposed to experiential learning.

Microscopes bring biology to life!

Having these microscopes will allow students to have greater access to learning the new science standards in New York State. Students will view magnified plant and animal cells and apply what they have learned in class.

Students can view the world of micro-biomes around them and learn, apply, and demonstrate mastery of New York State Science Educational Standards.

Also the structure and function of cells and cell parts. The Next Generation Science Standards recently approved in New York State say that students should be able to distinguish between complex and microscopic structures and systems that can be visualized, modeled, and used to describe how their the function of said structures depends on the shapes, composition, and relationships among its parts; therefore, complex natural and designed structures/systems can be analyzed to determine how they function.
