Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

J.H.S. is a campus rich in San Antonio history and culture. We are a Title I campus set in the heart of our city. Our students are amazing and our teachers' work ethic is unmatched. We are about to wrap up our curriculum and begin reviewing for our state biology exam. I created this project to encourage, motivate, and excite our students to push through and work hard until game day (test day). Our biology team of teachers has spent countless hours analyzing data, strategizing, translating, and creating amazing lessons and now we're ready to put it all together and ensure all that hard work pays off. This project includes fidgets such as tangles and slime to reduce test anxiety and snacks for our kids who come in after school for tutoring. I've included scented pencils, pens, and markers to make learning fun and bright as well as colored cardstock for manipulatives to reach all methods of learning. This project also includes trophies because we love to show our students how proud we are when they succeed. Help us get our kids across the finish line and show what they know in a fun and incentivized way.
