Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember reading biographies in school? Well, students still read about influential people in our past and present. Biographies are a great way to increase students reading and writing.

I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade language arts.

All of my student have a disability, but despite their label they are more than capable to learn anything they put their minds to. They might need a little extra time and help, but they can reach any goal they choose!

My Project

The resources I am requesting are various biographies about influential people from our past and present. Students will read these valuable books as they take notes about King Tut, Anne Frank and Mozart. The information they gather will be turned in to a research project on the person they are reading about.

By supporting this project you will be providing students with important reading material that will enhance not only their reading, but writing as well.

Biographies enrich our lives as we learn about great individuals that have shaped the world around us. Will you help student discover these great role models?
