My Students

I work at an elementary in Brooklyn, NY. My school is predominantly Asian with many living below the poverty level. Many live with extended family in one house. They love to come to school to learn, discover and play. They enjoy being creative, playing gym, and using technology. They get so excited when they come to school. They are sweet, energetic curious learners. They are so funny and friendly. I totally enjoy watching them reach their goals. They bring a smile to my face every day.

My Project

I am interested in receiving bins for my class. My school is very overcrowded. We use any and kind of spaces for classrooms. My room only has tables, no desks. The students have only seat sacks to put some of their supplies. I would like to provide each of them with a bin to put some of their things in. We share most of our supplies due to space limitations. I would be nice for each of them to have someplace just for their stuff. Everyone deserves a little personal space. It would mean a lot to them. Thank you for your time and consideration.
