Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school understand the value and opportunities that an amazing education can provide. All of my students come from low-income homes, but that does not stop them from pursuing their dreams.

Our community and our families have been hit particularly hard by COVID-19.

But even before COVID-19 many of these students already faced daily challenges at home and outside the classroom. With dedicated teachers and staff, we transitioned seamlessly into online learning and continued to provide a safe space for our students and families during this unprecedented time. Our scholars were able to adapt to online learning because of their motivation and their thirst for knowledge.

As we continue in these uncertain times I know that our students will be able to adapt to whatever changes come our way. The resiliency and perseverance of our students is what makes our school community great.

My Project

Welcome to my science classroom where students collaborate, ask questions, design labs, and complete awesome projects! In order for this awesome learning to happen my students will need basic supplies in the classroom to complete their work successfully and safely. Due to the COVID19 epidemic, my students will return to the classroom for hybrid learning. The in-class sessions will be used for hands-on and safe collaborative learning, project completion, and sense-making.

Students will use these supplies to plan and complete labs, graphs, share ideas, and complete long-term science projects.

All of these materials are for in-class use and will be organized so that students have their own supplies for when they come in for their designated hybrid learning day(s). In order to be creative students will need the tools to express their creativity and by providing these supplies you will do just that!
