My Students

Memories last a lifetime, right? Children are only children for a short period of time. Remember that box of old writing samples, art projects, notes and treasures your parents saved from when you were little? I want to help preserve that memory, and teach my students, too!

My students are sweet, generous, kind second graders.

Together we've built a community of learners that fosters diversity and care for all students, regardless of ability. My students come from mixed-income communities where the children don't notice the differences in each other, they simply want to be friends with the children in their neighborhood.

My Project

While building that classroom community, we create memories. Some deeply embedded within our memories, some on paper, in project form, and through photographs. As a teacher, I struggle with how to preserve these memories for busy parents who might not have time to tuck them away safely into an album. We are asking for a coil binding machine and the supplies needed to keep our memories together for a lifetime! The greatest part about a coil binding machine is it isn't a one-trick-pony! We'll also be able to use it to make class books, instructional materials, and other things along the way!

Your donations will help my students to preserve their experiences, expand their learning and to keep their treasures for a long time.
