My Students

Our school serves a community of students of the inner city of Nashua, NH. Our school is located in the heart of a community that sees a great deal of struggle with poverty, homelessness, and addiction. We are currently in the process of being designated a Trauma-Responsive school. This means that our school is taking steps to recognize and support our student's learning and behavior which may be impacted as a result of trauma.

Every student has their own story and their unique needs.

As a collective body, they show what resiliency and hope look like in this generation of learners.

My Project

During our remote learning experience, I have learned that many students struggle to keep organized especially when they are working from home and from school. It is challenging to keep everything together. I am looking to help students keep organized by creating notebooks.

A binding machine will allow me to create individual workbooks for students such as morning work, reading and writing notebooks, and social-emotional learning.

I am also looking to collect and bind student work.

This binding machine was chosen because of the spiral binding rather than the plastic binding because this type of binding holds up better to the daily life of active children.
