This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Saturday mornings used to be the best. Not because of all the cartoons, but because of a few wacky scientist who valued education; Mr. Wizard, Bill Nye, and Beakman. Although my students enjoy our science lessons and experiments, I would love to share with them the world of Bill Nye.

My students are a great group of curious young people.

They have millions of questions regarding things such as space, how things are made, how the human body works, and many many more. Although we attend a fantastic and supportive school, we do not have the funds to purchase science kits to enhance science lessons. I believe that having a set of Bill Nye episodes will make science fun and interesting while also satisfying my students' curiosity.

My Project

This DVD set will excite and motivate my students to ask more questions and to find the answers. Bill Nye is an engaging instructor and I find that his lessons will accompany our classroom activities wonderfully. The episodes will review and instill various science topics that we study in fifth grade such as, the human body, motion and force, and the Solar System. My students will love how fun science will become.

This project is important to me because I want science to be a memorable experience for my class.

I want my students to think back on experiments that we conduct,our class discussions,and the memorable lessons we have with Bill Nye. Again, these DVDs are a fantastic accompaniment to any science classroom.
