This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal for my classroom is to create a supportive and inclusive environment in which every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Being able to make a significant difference in a student's life is one of the most rewarding aspects of working in special education. I have a very diverse group of students, each of whom is unique. As a result, my classroom must accommodate their needs. It has been my experience that students thrive when offered flexible seating and figet bands. As a result, they are able to concentrate on the tasks at hand. It would be helpful if I had access to a color printer so that I could modify their class work and their homework. Due to the fact that I teach a bilingual class, I am often required to modify the work into two languages, and it is so helpful to have English presented in blue and Spanish presented in red. The greatest joy I experience is seeing my students progress despite the many challenges they face. I would like your assistance in making my classroom more conducive to the needs of my students.
