Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

"To learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world". Help bilingual learners in their road to biliteracy by contributing to this project!

Your donation will impact FOUR Dual Language classrooms in a Title I school, who can't wait to expand their learning through hands-on literacy centers!

We would like to create activities that enhance students' foundational skills in English and Spanish, while providing them with fun and unforgettable memories. These centers will also promote language development and their social skills, which were severely affected by the pandemic.

Materials and usage:

- Zipper pouches and file expandable to store/organize literacy games. This will help students the agency to work independently.

- Recordable Answer Buzzers to record syllable sounds and help students blending and segmenting words.

- Dry erase pocket sleeves and laminating sheets to make centers durable and help students try multiple times.

- Dot paint to help students practice writing letters and sight words in a fun way!

- Presentation clicker to allow students to become teachers and lead the class when practicing letters, sounds, sight words and pointing while reading.

- Draw and write erase sheet to facilitate interactive writing and show proper letter formation.

- Adhesive labels to label the materials

- Velcro dots for matching centers

- Magnetic hooks to display student work and centers

- Cover-up tape for writing modeling
