Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, we have over 200 English-language learners! Most of our learners speak Spanish or Mixtec and come from Central America. We have a number of newcomers - students who have been in the U.S. for less than 12 months - arrive each year, and as teachers, we want to do our best to help our students learn English and acclimate to their new environment.

This project will focus on purchasing bilingual books that our teachers will use in the classroom to assist our newcomer students in their learning.

We will also use the "Eye Found It" game to practice speaking and listening in English with our wonderful students.

Our students are hardworking, enthusiastic, and full of joy. Thanks for helping us support them!
