Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need more books in their native language of Spanish in their classrooms. The project will allow me to give several books to each first grade class, so they can add to their class libraries.

My students will be so exited to have books in their native language in their classroom!

This will encourage them to read more and help foster their love of reading in both languages. It will be wonderful to see friends reading together, sharing books that they can both understand. This project is just a small step towards the ultimate goal of increasing literacy in both English and Spanish.
