My Students

Our school is located in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. We believe that reading and listening to books helps to develop stellar readers who strive to learn more.

We are a multilingual and curious group of Pre K students.

We have a real passion for languages and in our classroom, we speak English and Spanish!

We enjoy listening to the good read- alouds and we love reading books from our class library. There is no better way to explore different cultures than through reading!

My Project

With bilingual books, magazines, and other resource materials our PreK students will develop a real passion for reading!

Our classroom existed for only two years and incorporating a bilingual reading nook is essential for students.

Giving toddlers the opportunity to discover letters, words, picture books, and storybooks make learning fun.

The students will be able to read bilingual books with their teachers, families, and friends. They will ask questions and discuss the books so that everyone, regardless of language, has a chance to participate in the discussion. Additionally, Bilingual picture books are a great way for children (and teachers) to learn new vocabulary words because the language is presented in context.
