Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the best! Boys love Math and competing, girls love writing and are very independent, and all of us like drawing in the back of our notebooks.

We are bilingual from different parts of Spanish-speaking countries and we want to succeed in our school!

Student -Teacher, can I ask you a question?-

Teacher - Yes.-

Student - Would you rather have 30 million loyal friends or 30 million dollars?-

Teacher - Let me think. What would you pick?-

Student - I would pick having 30 million loyal friends, that way I can ask them to give me money to buy chocolate bars and sell them.-

My Project

In writing, students are working in the different types of writing, specifically, the letter structure. Students are creating different scenarios that required not just writing, but representing through painting and coloring the content in their letters.

In Math, we are focusing on addition, subtraction, and multiplication fluency.

We will be successful when we can solve complex problems in a quick, efficient way.

My students haven't had an assigned teacher for many months, they have been through a lot this year with so many changes. Recently, I have been assigned to their classroom as their new permanent teacher and I would love to provide them with the necessary tools to succeed in Third Grade.
