My Students

I am a first grade teacher at a community school in a large city. We are a Title I school. Approximately 99% percent of students that attend are economically disadvantaged.

However, my students are unstoppable!

The students that greet me every day are intelligent, curious, and extremely loving. Although my students face challenges every day, they are always focused, hardworking, and very eager to learn! Everyday I strive to provide my students with a high quality, rigorous education. They deserve the best!

My Project

As an early childhood educator, I know that my young students learn best when the learning experiences are child-centered, hands-on, and engaging. It is my goal to find any way I can to provide my students with more materials that will help them learn in these ways. This school year, we will be implementing new reading and math curriculums. Both curriculums have online and interactive components that would greatly enhance our daily lessons. This is why we need a projector and document camera. Both will provide my students with a more active way to engage during literacy and mathematics.

A projector and document camera would be an invaluable resource that will help my students apply and practice what they are learning.

It will allow students to engage in reading and math content. They will also create enthusiasm and excitement in my students as they learn the basic reading and math skills they need to succeed!

Moreover, this technology is missing in our classroom and could become a practical aid for my students every single day.
