My Project

Help provide my class with the needed tools to be successful in a diverse classroom. The active calming center activities and emotion dolls will help them deal with their emotions and help with maintaining calm throughout the day. The Little Spot books will show my students the importance of respecting one another in a safe and healthy environment. The laminating pouches will allow me to make additional games and posters for the calming area and throughout the classroom. The active toys will help to burn some energy and work out frustrations.

Social and emotional learning provides self and social awareness, as well as self-management.

This is important to both the students' health and the classroom environment. These items will provide our students the opportunity to regulate their emotions, in a calming and nurturing environment.

Our classroom consists of individuals with disabilities, autism, and general education students. The ultimate goal is to create an inclusive, compassionate, and bully-free learning environment. If the social and emotional needs of the children are met, then we will be able to achieve this!
