My Students

"Books are a uniquely portable magic." --Stephen King A tablet filled with hundreds of e-books and audio books is its own kind of 21st century magic!

Our students are an enthusiastic group of learners with diverse learning styles and needs, including English language learners; students who are academically advanced; students who learn through different modalities (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic-tactile); students who may need some additional support in different subjects.... Our school is very supportive of helping each student learn the best way he/she can.

My Project

We are requesting a tablet, headphone splitter and headphones for our class. Overall, our students are very motivated to read; while our class library is well-stocked, students frequently request books that we may not have. Other students would benefit from audio books so they can access higher-level literature. We have over 750 e-books waiting for us, but they can only be accessed on a tablet. These materials will provide lots of reading material for all our students, both in e-book format as well as audio-books.

Rowling Having a tablet and accessories will enable our class to better access this magic! Students will be able to choose books that interest them to read on the tablet; they can share audio books in a book club. Please help us spread the magic that only reading can bring!
