My Project

The BHS Cooking Club is a newly established program dedicated to teaching students how to prepare nutritious meals using the limited ingredients available in our community. Our town has no grocery stores or restaurants, leaving families with only a Dollar General and a gas station as food sources. As a result, many students rely on quick, processed meals due to the lack of fresh and healthy options.

With 20-25 students participating each month, our club provides hands-on cooking experience, helping students learn to make balanced meals with affordable and accessible ingredients.

By equipping students with essential cooking skills, we aim to promote healthier eating habits that can be sustained at home.
