My Project

My wacky, creative, sensitive, loving students need a place to push the sensory stimulation button in a positive, energetic way! And after they finish there is a place for them to unwind and de-stimulate as well! All under the caring eye of a person who loves them and cares about their mental health deeply.

I work with identified students and each one has a unique and different way of expressing themselves, so by funding this project with these music and art tools my students will have the opportunity to express themselves on multiple levels.

Lots of them do not get opportunities in their home environment to express their true self, so having the opportunity to do so in a relaxed environment may help them unlock a skill or love they would never explore otherwise!

They will have one area music, one for art projects and one area for relaxing. My students requested a keyboard and paint pens and rocks specifically, and the light covers will be a nice touch for the sensory room. A Hui Ho and away we go! Mahalo for the opportunity!
