My Students

Every day we start off by saying, "I AM AN AWESOME PERSON!" Through the learning of history, I strive to empower my students with the tools and knowledge necessary to become the next great leaders using innovative techniques!

Our school is a place where students are always learning, always safe, and always having fun!

My students come to school each and everyday, check their outside world at the door and enter into the world of teaching and learning head first!

My Project

Teaching history to middle school students is often a challenging task. There are often moments of boredom, wondering why we are learning about old stuff, and extreme moments of struggle when it comes to analyzing both primary and secondary sources.

By using games that children enjoy, I will be able to get them to learn historical analysis skills through playing a game they enjoy!

You can learn how to decode political cartoons by playing Taboo. You can learn how to make historical inferences by creating a historical version of apples to apples. You can learn to interpret speeches by listening to them and following along. Along with these games and headphones, I am also asking for some bookshelf organizers and an area rug to create a space that is calm as well as keep these new supplies organized and respected.
