Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach kindergarten in a Title I school where the majority of the students receive free lunch, come from low-income households, and their primary language is not English. Despite all of these obstacles, my students come to the classroom full of enthusiasm, questions, joy, and an eagerness to learn. They need physical activity which helps improves musculoskeletal health, cardiorespiratory fitness, aspects of mental health and wellbeing, and body composition. In addition, using items such as the Toss and Catch Ball Game Set, and the Bolaball Four-in-a-Row Outdoor Game will help them develop gross motor skills and promote self-discipline. Playing games like jump rope and skip ball will reduce stress and strengthen social skills.

Donations to this project will help to improve my students' mental health which will improve and increase student attention and focus.

My kindergarten students will be using this equipment during recess time (indoor and outdoor activities). They love to play and have fun. This project will help me give my kindergarteners the necessary equipment to improve their mental health and have fun at the same time.
