My Project

As co-sponsor of the Beta Club at Woodland High School, I have the privilege of working with an amazing group of students who go above and beyond every day. Our members represent a diverse cross-section of students, all united by their commitment to academic achievement and service.

This year, thanks to our fundraising efforts, we are thrilled to attend the Georgia State Convention in December for the first time in 10 years!

The students are buzzing with excitement as they prepare their entries for various competitions. However, as we enter the final stages of planning, we've identified some essential last-minute items that will help us during the long days of the convention.

To make our trip successful, we're seeking support for basic travel supplies, organization tools, and competition needs. We’re requesting items like trash bags, sanitizing wipes, and Ziploc bags, which will be useful for meals on the go, maintaining cleanliness on the bus ride to and from Savannah, and in keeping things organized during competitions. Each student will receive a drawstring bag to carry their convention materials, hand sanitizer, tissues, and snacks. These bags will not only keep them organized but also make it easier to identify our group in large convention crowds. Collapsible carts will be invaluable for carrying materials for the cake decorating and painting competitions, as well as for any emergency supplies that may be needed to put the finishing touches on student projects.

The Beta Club has managed to cover the major costs, including travel, lodging, and meals. These additional items will help ease the financial burden on students by minimizing out-of-pocket expenses. With your support, we can ensure that our students have everything they need to represent Woodland at the convention. Can you help us be ready to shine on December 2?
