Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Today, in an ever-diversifying world, the classroom is the place where students are often first exposed to people who come from a range of different backgrounds and have unique capabilities. To account for these differences and help put all students on an equal footing to be succeed, social and emotional learning aims to help students better understand their thoughts and emotions and develop more empathy for others within their community and the world around them.

Beginning early in life, social and emotional learning (SEL) is highly important for helping young children to understand and manage their emotions, feel and show empathy for others, and establish healthy relationships.

Having these social-emotional learning books and interactive materials available to my young students is a mission of mine, since student outcomes are best if students start social-emotional learning at an early age. I want to give my students the best opportunity to be successful in navigating their emotions. With these materials they will be able to achieve this!
