Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This upcoming school year, I will be teaching in first grade. I want to give students various ways to connect their learning in math, social studies and ELA through dramatic and choice place. This will allow students to apply their knowledge from our lessons in a creative way. For example, within our new social studies curriculum we will be looking into family structures. Students can use some of the materials I am requesting to show diverse families by playing with puppets or painting a family using the paints and brushes.

Donating to this project will allow students to develop students understanding about different ways to explain their learning.

My students will be more engaged and be able to apply their learning when it is through a fun and playful way.
