My Project

In the world of science, we must sometimes view our world through different lenses to understand how things work! I need some lava lamps for my classroom so that students can see in real time how heat and energy can be transferred, the concept of density, and the idea of what a convection current looks like. All of those concepts are things that happen in our lives daily. This will not only allow students to make connections between the curriculum and the experiments, but also see how heat/energy transfers, density, and convection behave in the real world.

Having enough materials for each student or smaller groups of students to directly interact with the materials will create a more engaging and effective learning experience.

Someone always needs something that they forgot to bring or just don't have. To make things a bit easier on them, I am requesting the most often-needed items. This includes things like pens, pencils, binders, and calculators.

Some of our families just can't afford the supplies requested each year. In particular, calculators and binders are a necessity for my class and the majority of students show up to class without their own. I have borrowed some, but there are times when demand exceeds supply.

My goal this year is to help reduce the amount of stress on my students to get needed supplies. Hopefully, with these supplies, stress will be reduced so my students can focus on their learning. Thank you for your support!
