Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need a laptop and 2 iPads with their covers. With this donation, my students will be able to get hands-on experience and utilize the district based websites and programs.

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them. They can do anything.

I currently teach kindergarten at a K-8 center in Miami, Florida. My kindergarten class is comprised of 32 students of which two are labeled as students with special needs or disabilities. These special needs and disabilities include autism and a student with a brain tumor. All the students are average learners who do not have the resources to facilitate their leaning and enhance their education.

I believe that all students, including young learners, need to be in motion and engaged so that they can use what they have learned to become independent learners. This will enable the students to learn to work with others in cooperative groups.

My Project

My students LOVE technology and are eager to learn. They enjoy working in cooperative groups! With the laptop and iPads, the students will be able to work independently and use district wide programs to enhance and facilitate their learning. These materials will help kindergarten students including students with disabilities grasp the learning concepts easier.

An apple iPad and a laptop with Microsoft office will help facilitate students with little or no motor skills to be able to show what they know without spending so much time putting it on paper and alleviate frustration.

They can also used district wide programs.
