The wonderful students of my 2nd-grade classroom are inquisitive, kind, passionate, excited, and full of life! At our amazing charter school, each teacher creates a specialized Roadrunner Roadmap, which is an individualized learning plan that focuses on the needs of every student! My students are so special to me and I want them to have an environment that helps nurture their learning!
As students walk into my class in the morning, I want them to be able to have a soft start where they can get those creative juices flowing.
After the couple of years that they have had, it is important that they have a safe and positive place to walk into. This past year, I have noticed how beneficial it can be to give them something to creatively work on before handing them their morning work to complete. This can promote a positive and calm classroom environment and students have fun doing it. It is also incredible to watch what kids can create. This can help promote their self-esteem, work through challenges, and think creatively. I truly appreciate the opportunity to post this project.
