Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Funding for special education departments begin to dwindle the older students get, my goal is to provide my high school students with things that allow them to focus less on their learning differences or their emotional needs and more on succeeding in the general education setting. I want to create spaces within the department that allow our students to come decompress and return to class. Sensory tools, motivational posters and aroma therapy has helped my students do that because they are able to come into our offices for counseling sessions and leave feeling more at ease.
