Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Beginning writing skills are important in pre-K. It sets up students’ success in kindergarten letter writing. Writing in sand is a fun and exciting activity without any stress to form letters properly. Using fingers or paint brushes in sand helps strengthen fine motor development in young children. I am planning to put these sand trays in my flexible seating library center.

Cutting paper, drawing, and writing is essential in the development of fine motor skills in Pre-K!

I am also planning to put the sensory kit in my cozy corner for students that have special needs to use when they are feeling overwhelmed, scared, tired, upset, and even happy.

I am looking forward to having these new materials in my classroom this year!
