My Project

My new kindergartners will be starting a new chapter in their lives by entering a brand new setting and environment. This often comes with a lot of anxiousness and/or excitement. To help our scholars feel motivated and confident, we will be using these materials to help empower them. Our students are experiencing their first real year of in-person learning since COVID happened to them in Pre-K. I want to give them an environment where they can feel successful and thrive. I will ensure this by having the necessary materials to help make their transition smoother than ever. Our computer mouse will help me stay connected to my mac book and utilize my smart board from any area of the room while I am teaching a small group lesson. fro the far end of the room. I have seen my other colleagues do this and it has worked wonders. Easel pads make creating anchor charts so much easier. We can create them as a class and just stick them anywhere in the room as a reference tool. Being that we use beginner pencils during the first half of the school year to help with our fine motor skills it is hard finding sharpeners that have adjustable pencil sizes. many traditional pencils are the standard size number 2 pencils. in addition to our back-to-school gadgets, we will be practicing daily mindfulness and positive affirmations along with building connections together so that we can work on achieving our learning goals.
