Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For the last few years, I have had the pleasure of teaching in an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) setting. These classes are a mixture of general and special education scholars. Our school is located in a high-needs area and many of the children do not come to school with the necessary basic supplies. Notebooks, pencils, and folders are essential to keeping our scholars organized and ready. Instead of making them feel embarrassed about not having what they need, we'd love to have materials available for them on the first day of school so that they feel prepared and confident.

Being ready to learn, starting from Day 1, sets the tone for the rest of the year!
